autumn vibes are flawless

Dewy skin, winged eyeliners with big brows, dark lip and plum nails are the look this autumn, according to our resident beauty expert, Morgan Letherbarrow. She says those who can’t stand a dark lip, can also opt for taupe shade and pair it with dark smoky eyes and either a coffee colour or sultry red nails. Here are Morgan’s tips for perfecting an autumn look…

Lips, nails and eyes
Dark Lips – try Shanghai Suzy Miss Nicole Burgundy Brown
Taupe Lip – try Shanghai Suzy Miss Leah Baby Coco
Big Brows – try Ardell Brow Defining Pallet –light, medium and dark. Comes with a great little set of tweezers, highlighter and angles brow brush.

Nails – Dark Sultry Red: Go for OPI ‘Vodka and Caviar’ or ‘Malagna Wine’
Nails – Dark Dark Dark: Go for Essie ‘Life Partner’ or OPI ‘Russian Navy’
Nails – Taupe: Go for OPI ‘You Don’t Know Jacques’

Polished skin – Skinstitut Glycolic Cleanser
Polish skin with this beautiful creamy cleanser. With 12% Glycolic Acid you will certainly notice a beautiful polished flawless look after using it. Combine this with Skinstitut Vitamin C 100% powder to aid in collagen production and skin firmness whilst improving skin colour, radiance and tone. meet the team! anita houlahan

Age: 27
A little about your background: I’ve been hairdressing for over 10 years, starting my apprenticeship in Shellharbour. I have worked in Bali in a popular ex pat salon and Shanghai China where I became part of an International team of hairstylists. I realised Australia was home and returned down under to Wollongong where I was involved in Hair Expo Gen Next project before settling in Brisbane last year.
Areas of expertise: Colour. Brilliant blondes to beautiful balayage, to the loud bright fun and creative colours, used to covering up those unwanted "party sparkles".
Hair tip: Have a wide toothcomb in the shower to comb through your conditioner and treatment. A little bit of product will go a long way.
Best thing about working for Togninis: The incredible support, nurturing and encouragement that is given from every staff member in the salon. I feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive team.
Favourite coffee: Bellissimo just down from the salon.... can’t ever go past a large skinny cappuccino!
Guilty pleasure: Chilling out with a big block of Cadbury chocolate and a good book after a big week in the salon. •
